The Project Planning Assistant

The project planning assistant helps you to tailor PRINCE2® to your projects, quickly and easily. After the project specific management and technical phases have been entered, the project planning assistant generates a PRINCE2® compliant project plan. It contains all phases required by PRINCE2®, such as starting up, initiation, project closure and directing. You can extend and refine the project plan individually. You can plan workloads and project costs with in-Step, table-based and clearly arranged.

PRINCE2® defines the process, in-Step makes it visible – whether on a LAN or the Internet. Together, they ensure simple communication between everyone involved in a project. PRINCE2® and in-Step – the method and the tool – a strong team for your projects. Just take a look for yourself.

Initial versions of all required management products are automatically created in the integrated product library, for a quick start in the project. in-Step uses PRINCE2® compliant document templates for this.

As with all in-Step editions, the PRINCE2 edition also offers real-time planning, closely linked to actual project events. Integrated time recording makes up-to-date planned/actual comparisons possible. It shows you what development stages a project's products and activities are in, what workloads and costs have arisen and what capacity users have remaining.

The Planning Assistant for Work Packages

in-Step consistently adheres to PRINCE2®'s product based planning approach. This means work packages are planned with in-Step, based on the necessary specialist products. You can assign team users and the chronological order of work packages quickly and easily in a dialog. In this way, in-Step speeds up and secures all of your planning.

With in-Step You Always Know what Stage Your PRINCE2® Project is at

PRINCE2® project management requires regularly checking of the business case. This means the usefulness of a project must be continually re-evaluated, taking the changing conditions into account. For these evaluations, in-Step constantly delivers up-to-date information about:
