  • microTOOL releases Scrum collaboration tool:
    The Sprint is on for in-Step – with the New Scrum Edition

    Berlin based microTOOL GmbH has introduced another member of its project management tool family: in-Step Scrum Edition. This new tool is designed for organizations which implement Scrum as a management framework for agile software development. It is conceived for multi-user organizations, working on a LAN or the Internet. The tool offers a virtual project space for both local and distributed teams, where all project-related information is visible. The tool supports the planning of Releases and Sprints (iterations) in a Scrum project.

  • The in-Step product family has a new member:
    SPICE Edition for Automotive

    Berlin based microTOOL GmbH, in cooperation with Knowledge Department GmbH & Co. KG in Nuremberg, has developed a new variant of the project management software in-Step: SPICE Edition for Automotive. It's designed for organizations aiming to achieve higher maturity in their Automotive SPICE development projects. The new edition integrates all processes relevant to Automotive SPICE into a comprehensive process standard. This encompasses not only the software development, but also the hardware and mechanical development.

  • microTOOL releases in-Step 4.0
    Berlin-based microTOOL GmbH has released Version 4.0 of the project management software in-Step. The tool, specializing in project planning and implementation in system and software development, has been extended by several functions for multi-project management. As a team tool in-Step, with its new functions, is designed for everyone involved in a multi-project organization: from the management body to the multi-project manager, the individual project managers and the project users.

  • microTOOL announces in-Step 4.0
    Berlin-based microTOOL GmbH has announced the extension of the project-management software in-Step. The tool now comes with functions for requirements modeling in UML and Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN). The user can derive requirements from the new, graphic requirements models in in-Step, create formula-based descriptions and include them directly in project and iteration planning. The new functions will be available in version 4.0 of the tool, due for release 2007/2008.

  • microTOOL releases objectiF 7.0
    Berlin-based microTOOL GmbH has released version 7.0 of objectiF. In addition to UML, the tool now also supports business process modeling in Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN). In the new version, you'll find functions for orchestrating business processes with Web services at a graphic level – especially for SOA development. The generation of WS-BPEL 2.0 and WSDL as well as WSDL reverse engineering is now supported. In addition, new model transformations are available for SOA and Web development. You can automate the step from the domain-oriented to the technical architecture of an application, based on the concepts of model-drive architecture (MDA)/model-driven development (MDD).
