To run objectiF RPM in the cloud as Software as a Service you need an Amazon Web Services Account. This account enables you to rent an infrastructure with software and hardware. There are two alternatives to use objectiF RPM:
- An infrastructure with a MS Windows Server 2012 RTM and a MS SQL Server Express 2014.
- An infrastructure with a MS Windows Server 2012 R2 RTM and a MS SQL Server Standard 2014.
Amazon Web Services offers the usage of the Microsoft licenses on a monthly basis. For hardware we recommend you to use the so-calle “m4.large” with 2 virtual CPS and 8 GB Memory for both alternatives. The MS SQL Server Express 2014 is limited to 1 GB Memory and 10 GB data volume, so if you need more we recommend the MS SQL Server Standard 2014.
microTOOL will provide an Amazon Machine Image, which produces an Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), as well as objectiF RPM licenses for montly rent.
The prices for EC2 vary. You can find the prices for a package with a MS Windows Server 2012 RTM and a MS SQL Server Express 2014 in Frankfurt/Germany here. You can find the prices for a package with a MS Windows Server R2 RTM and a MS SQL Standard Server 2014 in Frankfurt/Germany here.
