About Patrick Richter
Patrick Richter is a consultant in the area of functional- and machine security at the institute for quality and reliability management. He leads projects in the area of machine security and pursues active functional security in a range of industries. Before beginning his work in a research institute he completed an apprenticeship as a mechatronics engineer for system and automation techniques and he also studied security methodology at Wuppertal’s Bergische University. This practical experience, combined with his background in science, provide him with a broad knowledge of systems on different levels - as well an understanding of the connections between them - which are essential for developing practical solutions in the field of functional security.
