REConf 2022

Is requirements engineering a question of culture? That was the motto of the 19th REConf, the biggest Requirements Engineering Conference in Europe, that took place in Munich after a long Corona break. Ursula Meseberg reported on “Opportunities and Obstacles of AI for Requirements Engineering” and we are looking forward to the next conference in 2023.
3rd European BA-Day 2021

The third European BA-Day took place on September 24, 2021 in Frankfurt/Main. Masventa once again invited the Who is Who of the European business analyst scene. microTOOL again supported the event as a sponsor.
PM-Summit DIGITAL 2021

How will Artificial Intelligence (AI) change the project management profession? Will everything soon be easier or will AI become a real threat? These questions were discussed at the first digital PM Summit of the PMI Germany Chapter on April 30. Prof. Dr. Gunnar Auth presented use cases for AI in project management in his keynote “Potential applications for Artificial Intelligence in Project Management”. Peter Taylor, advocated in his presentation “Project Management doesn’t need Artificial Intelligence”, not to look for all problem solutions in AI. microTOOL was a sponsor of this event.
MEDCONF 2020
20th to 22nd of October, Munich & online
The conference for medical software and device development, MEDCONF, took place from 20-22 October as a hybrid event online and live at NH Munich East. The topics ranged from agility and usability engineering to AI in medical technology. The effects of the corona pandemic on medical device manufacturers was also be discussed. The agenda featured some top keynote speakers like Prof. Dr. Christian Johner, Thorsten Prinz and Dr. Anne Kramer. For microTOOL GmbH, Axel Höner offered a zoom session on October 21 at 12 noon entitled: “Agile in a regulated environment”.
Modern RE
8th to 10th of October 2019, Berlin
Three years ago, the first Modern RE took place at the Mercure Hotel Berlin Tempelhof Airport. HLMC invited experts on the subject of modern requirements management and they came. A home game in which microTOOL was a must. Since then, the event has established itself and is considered an important networking event on the topics of agile requirements engineering, user experience and design thinking. microTOOL supported the the conference also in 2019 as a partner. Ursula Meseberg’s talk on the challenges of business agility was very well received. We are looking forward to the next Modern RE in 2020.
Business Analysis, Requirements and DevOps Day
6th of June 2019, Vienna
On June 6 the CON.ECT Informunity invited to another Business Analysis, Requirements and DevOps Day in Vienna. Participants exchanged their experiences at the interface between business processes/software processes and requirements engineering as well as new developments in the use of tools. Ursula Meseberg gave a talk on how to make digitization projects manageable with agile business analysis.
2nd European Business Analysis Day
17th of May 2019, Frankfurt/Main
The second European Business Analysis Day took place on the 17th of May 2019 near Frankfurt/Main. It was titled: “The Digital Change – Everything Remains Different“. The conference on business analysis, project management and requirements engineering focussed on economic as well as IT topics. Prof Dr Meinel, head of the Hasso Plattner Institut, held the opening keynote. 15 other internationally renowned speakers (amongst them e.g. Colin Hood, Adrian Reed, Kevin Brennan) shared their knowledge in three parallel tracks. microTOOL was part of the event as a sponsor.
PMI Berlin/Brandenburg Chapter Meeting
18th of April 2019, Berlin
Project management methods and tools in practice was the title of the PMI Berlin/Brandenburg Chapter Meeting on April 18 at microTOOL in Berlin. Enrico Fritz presented in his talk Lean soll es sein – Projektmanagementstandards musterbasiert anwenden methods and tools for complying with laws, norms and guidelines in projects despite agility. The second presentation Projektmanagement als Enabler für Service und Innovation was given by Marcel Reusch from INTENSE AG. He showed how the introduction of PMI standards can be successful in small and medium-sized companies. We were pleased to host the PMI Berlin/Brandenburg Chapter as a new partner.
REConf 2019
11th to 15th of March 2019, Munich
The requirements engineering community met again at the REConf conference in Munich. They discussed: Agility, digitization, industry 4.0, internet of things, new work, VUCA and other phenomena of our time that characterize the role of RE. microTOOL presented software for RE, business analysis and digital transformation. Ursula Meseberg introduced methods for agile business analysis in her keynote “Beyond Agile RE: Business agility paving the way”.
