The Berlin firm microTOOL GmbH is pleased to invite you to our workshops in Frankfurt (19th of February), Munich (20th of February) and Düsseldorf (5th of March). It will kick off under the title “On the path to good requirements” about professional requirements engineering and the question: what can a tool like the new objectiF RM contribute to successful requirement determination? As special guests, we have different representatives of IREB and the TÜV SÜD examination institution. They will be informing the audience about the IREB certification model, the internationally recognized examination of the certified professional for requirements engineering, and in the afternoon, methods and the tool in-Step will be introduced under the theme of “Projects and processes under control”.
In the afternoon requirements engineering workshop, participants will get to know a model-based procedure with practical examples that lead from the system demarcation to the analysis of stakeholders and their goals to the determining and documentation of requirements and system architecture. The participants will experience how requirements are described with the new objectiF Requirements Modeller and their relationships. The participants will learn how to describe requirements and their relationships with the new objectiF Requirements Modeller with the means of UML and SysML as well as how to derive goals, scenarios, test cases and elements of the system architecture. There the participants will also get to know the extensive documentation and evaluation components for working in teams through a tool.
The project management workshop in the afternoon will lead to the workplace of a multi-project manager. We will demonstrate how the project manager is supported by the tool that controls the project portfolio and coordinates project-expansive resources, costs and appointments. Then a quick introduction to a project from the project manager’s point of view will be demonstrated. A new project will be structured with the help of templates, distributed roles, and planned activities and products. How documents are created with work control, edited and imported and exported will also be demonstrated live. Processes like V Model XT, HERMES, PRINCE2 and Scrum will also be used in the examples. How these processes can be combined and adapted to your own procedures will be explored at the conclusion of the workshop.
