Berlin-based microTOOL GmbH, manufacturer of tools for Requirements Engineering and Project Management, invites all interested people to join the Business Breakfast on September 30, 2014 at Swissotel Berlin. The motto of the event is “Two Ways to Better Products” and aims at introducing new possibilities to improve product development processes.
Finding the right way in product development is not easy, with many options, opinions and approaches tempting along the way. “The scope of possible approaches is enormous,” says Michael Schenkel, Head of Marketing at microTOOL. “For developers and manufactures of products, software and systems, understanding stakeholders and their goals is paramount. This gets overlooked very often.”
Thus, a focal point of the Business Breakfast will be the means and options available to elicit complete requirements, to gain an in-depth understanding of the system architecture as well as to document and visualize it.
Another focal point will be the all-new Use Case 2.0 concept by Ivar Jacobson. “Use Cases still are a popular means of documenting functional requirements. They are the basis for product development,” Michael Schenkel says. “Use Case 2.0 combines well-proven Requirements Engineering techniques with an agile approach. This creates a wide range of new options to build better products, software and systems.”
At the event, participants will learn, among other things, how to create Use Case Stories and Slices, how to integrate them into their planning and how to define acceptance criteria.
