microTOOL GmbH has released version 2.2 of in-STEP RED, the tool that covers the entire requirements engineering cycle, from elicitation, analysis and modeling in SysML and UML diagrams to project planning and project execution.
The software supports requirements engineers, business analysts, systems architects, project managers as well as all project members and testers via client server and web client. in-STEP RED 2.2 offers full support for Internet Explorer 11.
The new version features numerous new functions and improvements. Charts for Earned Value, Schedule Performance Index (SPI), Cost Performance Index (CPI), Burnup and Velocity lay the basis for an agile approach to Earned Value Analysis. A variety of techniques for the calculation of projects and activities have been implemented. In addition, requirements and activities can now be locked and requirements with all existing revisions can be displayed in views.
Restoring revisions has also been improved and drag-and-drop functionality for the creation, moving and copying of artefacts has been alleviated. Link files and hyperlinks can now be created for artefacts which can then be sent via e-mail.
in-STEP RED 2.2 is available in German and English as of now.
