microTOOL GmbH has released version 6.4 of the project management software in-STEP BLUE. The release contains many new features, particularly for the WebApp. The customizable dashboard gives the user a quick overview of the project state. Earned value analyses, charts and analyses of costs and deadlines provide real-time information. Ingoing and outgoing products can be created, edited and allocated for activities in the project plan. Workflows can be triggered by project states so that project activities keep moving forward.
The WebApp makes up another part of the software’s large functional scope. Users can already edit documents and forms, edit states, upload photos and plan project with Gantt charts in the WebApp. The addition of is a response to customer requests made at the microTOOL user conference in April. The Berlin-based software company, which was established in 1984, has been developing its solutions in cooperation with customers for decades.
microTOOL develops software for IT project management, requirements engineering and application life cycle management. The project management software in-STEP BLUE provides templates for processes like V model, PRINCE2, Scrum, HERMES and SPICE for automotive, and also allows custom workflows and processes to be created. It supports multi-project management, change management, configuration management, document management, quality management, risk management, process management and test management. Since 1997, the software has been implemented in the automotive branch, medical technology and the public sector, where adherence to norms and standards is very important.
