Which edition is the right one for me?
All in-STEP BLUE editions offer a wide range of features and benefits such as a central multiple-user product library, powerful rights and role management, document templates, version management, integrated time recording, states for activities and products and seamless MS Office integration. In addition to this, the individual editions include specific features for project planning and management. The in-STEP BLUE V-Modell XT Edition supports a V-Modell XT-compliant approach by featuring, among other things, a tailoring wizard, a project planning wizard and a QA wizard. The in-STEP BLUE Spice for Automotive Edition also includes the wizards, whereas the in-STEP BLUE Scrum Edition does not require tailoring but includes a task board, story cards and burn-down charts. The in-STEP BLUE PRINCE2 Edition features a project wizard which differentiates between management and technical phases. What are the system requirements for in-STEP BLUE?
in-STEP BLUE is based on a client-server architecture. Both client and server have specific software and hardware requirements which can be found here.
What interfaces does in-STEP BLUE offer?
in-STEP BLUE offers a variety of interfaces that enable you to exchange, import and export data as well as control in-STEP BLUE through other tools. How much is in-STEP BLUE?
in-STEP BLUE is a client-server tool. All project data is managed centrally by the in-STE BLUE server which is part of your LAN. in-STEP BLUE requires at least one client-access license and one server license. in-STEP BLUE is available in different editions each of which comes with a specific project template and features for the planning and execution of projects based on the respective template. Do I need specific in-STEP BLUE training?
in-STEP BLUE is easy to use and training is not required, but we do offer trainings that help you get started more quickly with in-STEP BLUE. The existing documentation on how to administrate and configure in-STEP BLUE as well as on processes and methods are a solid basis for your project work. A little help from our experts may let you reach your goals quicker, though. And allow you to make full use of in-STEP BLUE. What is a maintenance agreement?
We recommend a separate maintenance agreement to all users of in-STEP BLUE. A maintenance agreement includes individual support from installation to operation. Usually we release two new versions of in-STEP BLUE per year which are also included in the agreement. In addition, the maintenance agreement enables you to have a direct impact on the development of our products based on your requirements. Can I purchase additional licenses later?
It is possible at any time to purchase additional licenses. Depending on the number of client licenses you may be required to update your server license for an update fee.

No. in.STEP BLUE was released in 1997 and is continually developed further. Our extensive documentation provides an overview of all its features, but there is no general feature list.
