Usage of in-STEP BLUE

Product-specific requirements management from requirements specification to implementation, including test case specifications as well as check lists for further areas of validation.

In 2009, BBR began to adapt the IT environment of its development department to the increasing need for complex products. This included opting for a tool capable of eliciting requirements using text-based methods as well as structured methods, while also providing bi-directional traceability between associated requirements, allowing users to follow and document the life of a requirement in its entirety. in-STEP BLUE‘s functionality in combination with the expertise in our in-house process then became the basis for a pilot scheme. The process used is adequate for the development of safety related systems up to SIL-4.

Because of its high degree of flexibility and major potential for use in further processes, in-STEP BLUE is becoming increasingly popular within our company.
