Test Management at DFS with in-STEP BLUE

At DFS, in-STEP BLUE is used for test process management and test automation. Based on TMap, a test process for multi-project management of all ATS systems with a common resource pool was modeled. Test planning, test control, and reporting including the generation of acceptance test plan documents for each release was the primary focus of test process management. Test automation was based on a modified and expanded in-STEP BLUE Core Process and supports project planning and project control for the implementation of test automation, reporting, and configuration management, as well as tracing of action items with self-configured in-STEP BLUE forms. For product management, an expanded CoreProcess is used to support a newly developed method for pressure and performance tests.

Michael Lüttel

“in-STEP BLUE is an integral part of all test management processes for eight ATS (Air Traffic Services) as well as of planning procedures for software acceptance processes at Deutsche Flugsicherung. It is a vital part of daily test and resource planning.

Its multiple configuration options are particularly helpful. They make it possible to adjust the testing process and implement user requirements in no time.”
