MATERNA and case/4/0: Analysis, Design and Code Generation

At MATERNA, the ATLAS project (Automatisiertes Tarif- und Lokales Zoll-Abwicklungs-System/ Automated Customs Tariff and Local Processing Application System) is handled by case/4/0 since 1994. A shared repository is used by the individual data processing centres involved. Access to diagrams and components is managed by the user and system management. To ensure flexibility relating to the target systems, specially developed generating functionality is the basis for code generation. This functionality is developed and maintained in a custom-built case/4/0 generating system. A range of specific tools was applied to adapt case/4/0 to the ATLAS project via OLE automation.

Model-based Development with objectiF

Since 2008, MATERNA uses objectiF for the analysis as well as for conceptional work in the large-scale .NET project PlanSys by Plan International, mainly for the creation of class diagrams. In addition, objectiF supports model-based development and generation of persistency layers by ensuring consistency between analysis, data base, and persistency layer.
