Requirements Engineering und agile Development

Live Online Seminar (German only)

Main Aspects of the IREB RE@Agile Primer Seminars

Even in the agile environment, it is important to know the exact requirements of the customer or client for a product to be developed in order to deliver a high-quality result. As an experienced professional in the agile world, you can increase your success rate even more in combining ideas from classic requirements engineering and clear requirements definitions. And as a successful CPRE, learn how the techniques, methods and established processes of requirements engineering also offer you advantages in the agile context.

We will show you:

  • which requirements engineering methods and techniques are useful and profitable to use in the agile environment to create synergies between the two worlds,
  • why RE and agile principles do not contradict each other,
  • which pitfalls are to be avoided when applying requirements engineering,
  • the importance of documenting requirements and to what extent documentation is appropriate and useful,
  • how requirements engineering is practiced as part of the continuous development process,
  • which requirements engineering artifacts are used in the agile context,
  • the importance of the backlog as a central storage and management concept for requirements engineering in the agile approach,
  • how the central RE activities of eliciting, documenting, checking and managing requirements are to be performed in the agile approach,
  • how the role of the requirements engineer is defined in the agile environment, and
  • how communication between agile teams and stakeholders is structured.

In the RE@Agile Primer, you will learn about the advantages of continuous agile requirements analysis compared to classic upfront requirements analysis.

Requirements Engineering in the agile Context

RE@Agile Primer extends the IREB requirements engineering foundation knowledge by the implementation of requirements analysis in an agile context.

The online course is the ideal supplement to the IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering Foundation Level for all those who would like to rely on the proven methods of requirements engineering in agile product development as well. RE@Agile Primer teaches how the agile world and “classic” requirements engineering can be meaningfully linked.
